Sayed Ahmad
Sayed Ahmad is a Bangladeshi Islamic music artist, lyricist, composer, writer and Islamic speaker. He has been actively involved in Islamic music, literature, religious discussions and cultural activities for many years. He currently serves as the Director of Kalarab Shilpigosthi.
Birth and Childhood
Sayed Ahmad was born in Dhaka in 1990. His ancestral home is in Magura District, Bangladesh. From an early age, he developed an interest in Islamic music. His formal education began at Darun Najat Siddiquia Kamil Madrasa.
Education and Islamic Studies
In 2000, he enrolled in the Hifz department of Tarabo Sirajul Ulum Madrasa and began memorising the Holy Quran. In 2003, he completed his Hifz at Haji Rahmatullah Hafizia Madrasa.
He subsequently continued his traditional Islamic studies. In 2005, he completed the Taysir class at the historic Islampur Madrasa in Dhaka. He later completed the Mizan class at Jamia Islamia Darul Uloom Madania, Jatrabari, Dhaka.
He subsequently completed Dawra-e-Hadith (Takmil fil Hadith) under the Madani curriculum at Chowdhurypara Jamia Ikra Bangladesh and obtained his Mawlana degree in 2013.
From 2014 to 2015, he studied Takhasus fil Fiqhil wal Ifta at Mahadul Iqtisad in Jatrabari, Dhaka. After completing Ifta, he obtained his Mufti degree from the institution.
Alongside his formal Islamic education, he has also benefited from the companionship and spiritual guidance of respected Islamic scholars and spiritual figures. He has taken Bay'ah from several respected scholars, including Mufti Hafizuddin Hafizahullah, a Khalifa of Sayyid As'ad Madani (Rah.), and Pir Maulana Zafar Ahmad Hafizahullah of Dhalkanagar. He is also regarded with affection and respect by leading Islamic scholars of the country.
Beginning of Musical Career and Kalarab
Sayed Ahmad became actively involved in Islamic music in 2004. Under the guidance of Maulana Ainuddin Al Azad (Rah.), one of the prominent figures in Bangladesh's Islamic music scene, he began his musical journey.
In 2006, he was appointed Associate Director of Kalarab Shilpigosthi. Since then, he has remained actively involved in Kalarab's Islamic music and cultural activities. He currently serves as the Director of the organisation.
His audience is not limited to Bengali-speaking listeners; he is also popular among Urdu-speaking audiences.
Activities as an Islamic Speaker
Since 2013, Sayed Ahmad has been regularly active as an Islamic speaker. He began delivering religious talks at Islamic gatherings in different parts of Bangladesh. Later, his speaking activities expanded beyond the country.
He speaks at Waz Mahfils and religious programmes on Islamic education, religious knowledge, morality and various aspects of everyday life.
Work as a Lyricist and Composer
Sayed Ahmad has been working as a lyricist and composer for many years. He has written and composed more than a hundred Islamic songs. Various songs written and composed by him have been performed by different artists.
Writing and Literary Works
He has written on Islamic subjects, religious values, morality, education and various aspects of everyday life. His literary works include stories, Islamic educational writings, religious subjects and music-related compositions.

Current Activities
Currently, alongside serving as the Director of Kalarab Shilpigosthi, Sayed Ahmad continues to write and compose Islamic music, engage in literary activities and participate as an Islamic speaker at Waz Mahfils in different places. His Islamic speaking and cultural activities continue both within Bangladesh and abroad.
